The Domain Change…

I have finally managed to get a domain name for myself. I couldn’t find a name that would fit in. Asked my friends to suggest names. Suggestions included

jerrysalcove.com

jerrymouse.com

And finally after 3 months of confusion and laziness, i’ve finally decided to go for jerrymannel.com. Whats wrong in having a site by your name? Mine being a common name, it was quite difficult to get an address until i added ‘mannel‘ to it.

Watch Out - Irresponsible New Breed on Road

Life hangs in a balance for 90 minutes, 5 days a week. The commute to and from office!!!  Reckless drivers and slow moving traffic. I almost loose my temper when the driver in front applies brakes. But what could be done. Nothing! The ongoing road constructions are just adding on to the problems.

What does it take people to be a little more responsible? In fact NOTHING! But we just precariously chose not to. I tried being a responsible driver, indicators while changing lanes, right speed, obeying traffic rules - till i reached the point where i almost got run over by a ‘i-dont-care-how-i-drive’ truck driver.

The policy of - ‘if you cant beat the problem, be with the problem’ - really works to your benefit here. Last day Sandil a.k.a 2S comes up with the bright idea that Mutineer’s shouldn’t break any traffic rules. Apparently he was really pissed, coz a biker hit is rear-view mirror and bent it in such a way so that the next car driver can groom himself. It seems like ‘SHE’ (his car), looks like JLo without an ear

But what could be the real solution. After much thinking i think i invented a purple cow -

Step 1 : Get the best of the speeding bikers and make them part-time traffic chasers. They go in pairs. Any one breaking the law- hunt them down and fine them.

Step 2 : The existing traffic police should take more bribes. If the fine for jumping the red signal is Rs. 200, then he should demand at least 150, so that he gets a good hand and the next time the driver will remember. Have some self-esteem dear cops.

Step 3 :  Ask people to send in pics/videos of vehicles violating traffic rules. Run a promo - “Report more; Get paid half the sum of the violations”. This can help the unemployed youths too.

Step 4 : Get the local Bhai’s help to handle the traffic at their locality. (may be not - this might spiral out of control)

Please let me make some money; Kindly don’t follow traffic rules.

(The last time i counted - i had more than 100 traffic violations in one single day - that too just to survive. That included - Overtaking from the left side, speeding, jumping traffic lights…)

TOW I return to BLOGGING !!!

OMG!!! Almost a month since i wrote something. I really missed it. I wanted to write so many things and forcefully i had to restrain myself from blogging so that i could concentrate on the top two prioritized work that i kept. Couple of exams coupled with copious amount of work with a dead line of 30th of Oct, i saw the only way i could go fwd was to concentrating on things that mattered, that meant no blogging for almost a month

Exams ended by leaving me with mixed reactions. Work, well i was able to meet the requirements and do the needful. At the end of the day, i feel in order to save the dying work i did injustice to myself by not concentrating on the studies. I could have done better. May be its that, work is the only thing that i can blame for my dismal performance in the exam.

What the hell, its all over and thats it. Now i’m concentrating on the work and yes not to leave blogging again. Mutiny too needs me. Sandil had enough of threatening me, that he will be kicking me out of Mutiny if i didnt post.

Now that i’m back, planning to start from where i left off.

Now “TOW “. TOW?? The one where is TOW. Thats the side effect that you get when you watch FRIENDS every day. Not to mention that i didnt even leave it during the preparations for the exam too.

Now i’m at the 5th season.

Lately, i was contacted by a person, who also happened to be working at the same company. He contacted me after seeing by blog (that was something i liked). He gave me this notion of getting a good domain name.

That got me thinking, ok, thats not a bad idea, i’ll get a new domain name. But to my horror, i found that, as much as i’m bad in memorizing names of people, i just cant come up with a decent domain name. What will i do?

I mailed everyone i know, even to people i havent talked for weeks, asking them to help me find a good domain name, i even offered a treat to the best domain name suggested. Well they all suggested names, may be or may be not keeping in mind the person i’m, but none i liked.

So now i put it as a public request to find me a good domain name.

A mug of beer of your choice, if i take the name you suggest.
